Waka-takai: Sailor Shikiori Japanese Fountain Pen Ink Sample

Since 1911, Sailor has carried Japan's traditional craftsmanship into writing, and its Shikiori series captures the country's seasons in ink. The Noyama-no-Uta collection is inspired by the 72 micro-seasons of the traditional Japanese calendar, with each colour inspired by a bird that marks its season. Each is a water-based dye ink, made to bring a little of Japan's natural world to every page.
Wakataka means "young hawk", inspired by the summer season when young hawks practise their first flights and call out with strength. It has the rich depth of tone found throughout the Shikiori range.
