Since 1911, Sailor has carried Japan's traditional craftsmanship into writing, and its Shikiori series captures the country's seasons in ink. The Noyama-no-Uta collection is inspired by the 72 micro-seasons of the traditional Japanese calendar, with each colour inspired by a bird that marks its season. Each is a water-based dye ink, made to bring a little of Japan's natural world to every page.
Sekirei is the wagtail, a nimble bird that darts across the ground and calls out beneath clear autumn skies. With the depth of tone typical of Shikiori inks, it captures the calm of a crisp autumn day.
