Ume is a deep plum fountain pen ink with a green sheen.
The Manyo series takes its theme from the Manyoshu, or “Collection of Ten Thousand Leaves”, Japan’s oldest and most revered anthology of classical poetry, compiled around 759. Nature and flora are central to its poems, and each ink in this release takes its name from them. Each colour comes in Sailor’s iconic 50ml square bottle.
Since 1911, Sailor has carried Japan’s traditional craftsmanship into writing. Its Manyo ink line, first released in 2019, has grown across four editions of colours.
