Asagiri, meaning “morning fog”, is a vibrant saturated pink fountain pen ink inspired by the poem: “Because we have only met vaguely, like the morning fog, I continue to love you as if my life were about to end.” Writing with a broader nib may bring out some sheen.

Since 1911, Sailor has carried Japan’s traditional craftsmanship into writing. Its Manyo ink line, first released in 2019, takes its theme from the Manyoshu, Japan’s oldest anthology of poetry, and has grown across four editions of colours and a 5th anniversary set. This anniversary release, Manyo Ink in Love, draws on poems about unrequited love.
