Sun Moon Lake black tea has its roots in 1936, when Japanese grower Kokichiro Arai established a tea garden there, producing a tea prized enough to be tribute to the Emperor and exported to the West. After the war, Taiwanese technicians inherited his knowledge and crossed Burmese large-leaf trees with local Camellia sinensis to create Red Jade, now celebrated worldwide for its notes of mint, ripe fruit, and wild honey. A colonial legacy transformed into something distinctly Taiwanese, this ink is inspired by the deep red of Ruby, inviting you to find beauty in every stroke.
