Freshly picked jasmine is blended with green tea, stirred, folded, and dried again and again, until the bright fragrance seeps in completely. In hot water, the leaves unfurl and dance, leaving you with a cup of fragrant, quiet time. Huatan Township in Changhua was once a centre of Taiwan's jasmine industry, its blossoms used to scent the beloved jasmine teas of the era. This ink was born from the discovery that jasmine hydrosol is still being produced in Changhua today, prompting one quiet question: if fragrance could become colour, what hue would jasmine take?
