Bitter orange tea is the only pressed tea in Miaoli County, Taiwan. A Hakka tradition, the pulp of bitter orange is replaced with tea and pule, stuffed back into the peel, and slow-baked over charcoal. Matured over time until the flavours meld perfectly, it brews a deep orange with a rich citrus aroma and is considered the finest tea to welcome guests from afar.
